Q. What
motivated you to write this novel?
A. I am
motivated by other authors such as James Patterson and Patricia Cornwell.
Q. How did you come
up with the story?
A. A lot of what I
see on the news sickens me. It develops into a story in my mind which is
difficult for me to tell other than writing it out. I guess some of the
things in the book may seem unthinkable; however, it is not detached from
everyday reality, unfortunately. Human animal ranges from sublime to the
ridiculous along the psychological continuum.
Q. Some authors have
said that they write about the nightmares they have, is this the case with you?
A. Not at all.
For me to write my nightmares would be next to impossible. I would have
to get up constantly throughout the night and take notes. But maybe
that's something to consider in the future.
Q. Who was the
first person to read your manuscript?
A. It was my
wife. I value her opinion.
Q. Are you
writing another novel?
A. I have a few
ideas that I'm toying with. I haven't put anything to paper yet.
They haven't developed enough...yet.
Q. What is one
piece of advice you'd give aspiring writers?
A. Don't give up. Keep writing. In fact, write everyday without an excuse. If you believe in your work, I'm sure someone else out there will too.
